My DW is involved in a community theater.
They would like to install a camera in the theater shooting the stage and have a monitor (or two) in the dressing rooms.
The monitors will probably be color tv picked up form FreeCycle or CraigsList (with the digital change over coming they are readily available.)
They do want sound and picture.
They will not be used to record performances.
Total distance is under 100′
Should be wired to not interfere with the wireless microphones.
What kind of camera should they look for and what kind of cabling?
What should they consider?

Depending on how much quality you want, a cheapie surveilance camera should work. They start around $150.
