Does anyone here have any experience with the Makita AN901 coil nailer? http://www.makita.com/Tools_Item_View.asp?id=165
I think Mike reviewed a while back and liked it, but if anyone has any info, I’d love to hear it. We have the Max CN890II http://wis.max-ltd.co.jp/int/muc/pshow.php?productcode=CN98810 and it is a great gun, but it’s in the shop way too often. I’m also looking at the Hitachi NV83A2 coil nailer because we have 2 of the strip nailers that have the same engine and they are bulletproof.

I don't know about the Makita coil framer, but I have a Makita AN611 siding coil nailer that is, for me, pretty much dedicated to F/C siding, and it's a nice, reliable gun.
Most of my guns are Senco, and I recently bought a Senco coil framer and, maybe it was just a lemon, but, unlike my generally positive experience with Senco, the coil framer was constantly jamming so I sent it back and got another Senco strip nailer.
The Makitas are a little pricey, but most of the better production guns are.
Thanks for the reply. I really like Hitachi guns, but it is a little heavy. The Makita has a very powerful motor. I'm really undecided, but I know I want a coil framer. Yesterday we used only stick nailers and it was measurable how much slower the framing went, especially when we sheathed the walls before standing them.
