I will be siding a whole house with colored Hardiplank. Ive used the unpainted stuff before on smaller jobs.
questions:
Does it touch up well? I understand I can get touch up paint and colored caulk from hardi.
Are shears so far superior to a blade that its worth it to purchase one? If so, which brand?
Im happy to see any experiences you guys have. thanks

Shears are definitely worth it. I started a house with the recommended blades and dust mask etc.. Its really hard on tools, noisy and really dusty. A Porter Cable shears has easily earned its cost on just that job. I know nothing about the color touch up. I imagine, unless you get the touch up directly from the same supplier and do the entire board it may be hard to get a even match. Good luck. It certainly isn't wood. ..but its hard to argue with its possible benifits.
