Has any one tried to color a small amount of tile grout? I would like to attempt a small repair and match the color of the tile in a shower, rather than the usual white grout color.

The grout that's there is probably a specific color. Why don't you try to match it? Your attempt at a match, if it's off, will stick out like a punk rocker at a Catholic wedding.

I had an old white to match in a restaurant bathroom. Had a bit of tan mortar colorant. Putz'd with that a couple minutes, could never tell the new from the old. I agree on buying the stock color, but if that's not an option, try mortar additive. Best of luck
