Any suggestions…? I’ve got a 25+ year old commercial MagicChef stove in my house that I purchased 3 years ago (the house was a Sufi ashram during the 70s, thus the commercial kitchen). The top of the stove has three large drips pans that appear to have been originally painted a gray color (I’m presuming from the manufacturer). The burners rest in the drip pans.
Over the last few decades the pans have taken a severe beating – dinged, discolored and chiped. I’ve attached a photo for reference. The stove is in great shape other than the finish.
I’d like to remove the existing paint and uncleanable grime and refinish. A friend suggested getting an automotive body shop to bead blast them clean and then find a speciality industrial painting shop that could apply a commercial ultra high heat paint. Does this seem a feasible plan?
I’d love any suggestions regarding what kind of shops could do this and any particular products that may be appropriate.
Thanks for all the help!
