Hi guys, I am trying to quote a job. These stairs are 15 ft wide, 5 risers high with a 5 ft landing at the top. Built circa 1963. Serious damage from salt and snow removal equipment.
Basically need to pressure wash and do a bit of chipping to get rid of rotten parts, bulk of old concrete is sound, no cracks. Rebar where exposed is okay.
Intend to build forms as for new stairs, except will be adding about 2″ to height and 2″ to width of structure. Add new concrete in saturated surface dry conditions. Will likely hoard and heat as frost is imminent.
Questions,
Is 2″ (min) eneough?
what concrete mix, 3/8 agregate, 30mpa?
Is a bonding agent required? What sort?
Thanks guys for any and all info, or discussion.

Questions,
Is 2" (min) eneough? Depending on location, 2" is minimum on top, jackhammer the ends and corners to allow more on the sides.
what concrete mix, 3/8 agregate, 30mpa? Pea stone, 30Mpa, air and fibremix.
Is a bonding agent required? What sort? Standard latex bonding agent.

If I was doing it, the old would be gone and the new would replace it.
