built elevated steel deck with concrete slab and stone facade, was first such project. now having ongoing problems with leaks around perimeter. deck has capstone border around perimeter and 6 inch step up to doors in one corner. water does collect in some areas by the step up and door thresholds in back, however everything is well sealed and caulked. what is best way to seal the deck pan before pouring slab?

What provisions are there for drainage?
Once built a raised deck with flagstone paving over wood framing and membrane. We put a large area drain right in the middle, which did not please the homeowner until we asked him where the water should go...?
quarter inch per foot slope down to front of deck where there is a drain that ties in to existing irrigation system however there are some low spots in the slab and capstone where water collects
Even on a waterproof roof system, ponding water is a gauranteed leak.
And concrete is far from waterproof.
