We have always used 5/8″ CDX in our snap tie & waler system to form foundation walls. The CDX gets reused during construction either as subflooring or roof sheathing.
With the inevitable changeover to OSB looming,I was wondering about using it as forming.I am not so concerned about its ability to contain concrete during the pour, more as to the short and long term affects the water and form release may have on it.Remember, each piece will be used for one pour only.
Also wonder if I should use sealed side in or out.If anyone has tried this all feedback both positive and negative is welcomed. Thank You, Kenny

Used osb a few years back for a small addition with snap ties/whalers. Didn't have any problems with the pour but the osb absorbed a lot of moisture and got real soft. I didn't trust it for sheathing.
One thing to consider though is the trexture that resulted, I remember thinking it would look pretty good under a couple coats of paint in an unfinished basement - rec room.
