I was wondering which is better to use
both cost wise and workability, concrete
walls or wood studs? How is sheetrock
put into a house with concrete walls?
I live in Arkansas.

Concrete is forever Darryl and hard to renovate
*DarrylThe concrete you are referring to is ICF's I assume.ICF's can make framing much easier and faster. Concrete is a fluid material and easily takes the shape of what ever the form is. Curves arches angles and the such can be "framed" with concrete and have the strength required with little or no extra design. Ask the people who live in Tenn where the tornados went through not too long ago which they prefer. The wood houses couldn't be found and as the previous reply stated concrete is forever. As far as remoldeling is concerned it can be easier. To put in a new window for example, cut the wall (with a concrete saw) and install window. Headers may not be an issue because of the strength of the concrete already there. Try that with wood or steel. For info on ICF's checkouthttp://www.insulatingconcreteform.comRob Dykeman
