I’ve got a couple hundred square feet of textured, acid stained concrete sidewalk that I put down myself last year. Looks great, but now I would like to seal it. I really hate the shiny, wet-look sealers I’m always seeing on this kind of work.
Does anybody know of a penetrating sealer for exterior concrete. I don’t mind if it darkens my work up a bit, but I don’t want any kind of gloss or shine to it.

Your first stop should be concretenetwork.com.
There are many products available that are penetrating sealers as opposed to topical or film forming sealers of the type you dislike. Many of them are silanes, siloxanes or blends, and generally they react with the free alkalis in the concrete to grow crystalline structures. These crystals fill up the pores and capillaries to harden and densify the concrete. They aren't as good at keeping out stains as the film type, but they do little to change the surface appearance.
Maybe ask this question at acidstain.com , lots of good concrete people there.
Thanks guys. I'll check out both sites.
There is also a very good decorative concrete website.Don't remember the exact name, but a google on decorative concrete network will find it.
