Hi All,
I would like to know if anyone has any good ideas for building a wood bar rail. I need to build this within the next few days and don’t really have the time unfortunately to order one due to the time constraints on this job. I found a nice one on the Baird Bros. site, but the shipping would have cost me more than the rail itself and also wouldn’t have been able to get the longer length quick enough. I’ve made a few “basic” bar rails over the years which served the purpose, but this is a cut above the rest and would like to give it more of a commercial look. So if anyone has any ideas or maybe some pix of rails you have done I would love to check them out. Thanks guys.
Mick

Here's a large Handrail. What you see is the orig. rail on the top half, the lower half-what was cut out of the right side.
I don't think anybody has figured it out yet, finished you can't tell its origin.
A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.
