I’m finishing an octagonal roof cap with copper. I need it in an 18″ width. If there are any coppersmiths in here or others that could post a link to a supplier I would appreciate it.

Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.

Where abouts are you? The supplier I use delivers to about a a 250 mile radius around Cincinnati. Sheet copper is availalble in 18" occasionally, but 24" and 36" is the norm. I normally rip 36" sheets to obtain 18" blanks. Most roofing supply companies carry sheet and roll copper. Good Luck.
I'm in Los Angeles, and the best price I found on copper for my roof was having it shipped out from N.B. Handy in Roanoke VA, 540-343-2467 or 800-289-6142. Of course if this job is small enough, it may be worth the higher price for the convenience of using a local supplier.

My local sheet metal fabrication place can make that. They've made me all kinds of copper pieces.
I bet you could find one locally too !
hey thanks everyone,
I called a local roofing contractor and he has a few sheets out in the warehouse. Going to look at them today.
thanks again,
sam
think outside the box,
I bought my copper at a scrap metal dealer and paid,.... wait for it.... drum roll please, $5.00 a sheet for about 50 sheets of 4x8 copper ((extrememly heavy guage), now I'll grant you that was a few years ago when metal prices weren't so silly. But evan back then sheets like that would have sold for about $80.00 at a roofing suppier and only slightly cheaper at a metal suppier.
The scrap metal dealer had them as part of a surplus shipment and just stuffed them into a corner once he realized they weren't stainless steel as the rest of the pallet had been. there was only one sheet with any marks on it, and about 15 sheets had one edge slightly bent over. (no kinks)
The reason for this tail is that of you do as everyone else does and call only the obvious and easy places you'll have to pay retail or above for everything.
