Greencu, or anyone…..I’d like a source for several details of a copper roof.
In the case of a simple gable building, how would you tie into the existing roof if you were to add a hipped porch to one end? Something that would look like a Dutch gable roof?
Do you have to tear off the last pan, or would you try to use the existing?
Given the same gable , how can the roof be extended into a porch roof at the same or a lesser slope?
Where can I find a book with drip edge details, and transitions from one plane to another with some decent drawings opictures?
Thanks, Joe H

Both of these organizations have manuals available for sale with enough details to make your head hurt. If you can find a copy of Audel's "SHEET METAL PATTERN LAYOUTS", buy it. It's a page turmer if you're interested in this stuff. Google it. I found a bunch of used one's for around $25.
As far as connecting to an existing standing seam roof, the best method is to go back to the last unaffected seam and unroll it and take off new from there.
