I’m in the market for a cordless drill holster and don’t seem to find what I’m looking for.
There are several decent designs on the market (Duluth Trading, Occidental Leather etc.) but all have one fatal flaw for me. They have a fixed loop to attach to the belt. I want a holster that’s easily removable, ala a velcro neck loop or similiar.
I have a Diamondback belt system (mighty fine I might add) and it’s nigh well impossible to thread pouches on and off with any speed. Their literature lists holsters like I want, but it appears they have gone out of business.
Any leads would be appreciated.

Dick,
If you find one let me know. Great idea. I think I will take one of my cordura holsters down to my buddy that can sew this type of thing and try a retro-fit. I bought one of the Occidental holsters last year by the way and it wore out really fast. The most important aspect of CD holsters that I have found is the angle at which it holds the drill. The Occidental lost its ridgitity within a few jobs. For 35 bucks I felt ripped off. I buy the cordura ones at HD now but the velcro wears out on the holding strap. The snaps on the Dewalt leather models break pretty quick also. My favorite currently is a Dewalt with heavy duty velcro sewn on the safety strap by the aforementioned buddy.
*Hello: I'm just curious, what the hell kind of work are you doing that you wear out all those holsters?. I've had cordless drills for 12 years now and am still trying to figure what kind to buy for my first one. Before that I would walk around with a great big Yankee.
*I soaked my leather holster in water overnite and after I toweled it off I shoved my drill into it and formed it around the tool. After it dried, it felt stronger and the drill didn't keep falling out.
