Hey everyone,
Been vacant for awhile, hope all are well.
Thinking about the Dewalt DC628 OR the Paslode #900600 angled finish nailer.
Or do I just stick with air and my very trusty Senco selection??
Seems to be pretty split down the middle on both cordless guns. Paslode complaints are: Jamming, misfires, expired or even older but not expired fuel cells don’t work.
The DeWalt complaints seem to be heavy weight, not enough power to drive through hardwoods, battery doesn’t last very long.
Input from owners greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Is it 4:00 p.m. already.
No offense, but this one gets asked lot. I'll throw my usual 2cents in, I like my Paslode (I have two). I've only tried the Dewalt in a store and will tell you that my first impression was that it is heavy.
I would also guess that since the Paslode is a little smaller, it may fit better into tight spaces.
Love my paslode. Not many problems. I picked up the dewalt at the lumber yard last week and it felt very heavy. Neither can replace an air powered tool but they are great for small jobs
If you already have guns that you like and just don't want to hassle with the compressor all the time, you might want to consider one of the CO2 tank options. Use your air guns but power them with basically a CO2 paintball gun tank. Lowes has one in the store for about $100. It has the regulator and everything you need. Still have the hose but its a short one. The tanks fits in a holder on a belt. I think they have an exchange system for the tanks. But you can also get them filled at paintball places and other suppliers as well

Will this product so useful? I do not really know that. For people who will only fire few nails, this might be an option. But for large batch work, this CO2 will just freeze your nailer or even damage your tool.
Besides, what is the capacity of the CO2 tank?
I imagine you would like either if you got it, and both will pay for themselves rather quickly.
You pretty much summed up the problem with the Dewalt, it is very heavy, and pretty bulky too. I didn't know about the battery going quickly though.
I doubt you would have much trouble with the fuel cells going bad on you if you use it very often. And if you are like me, you'll end up using it a lot more than what you originally thought you would. At that point, the problem with the fuel cells isn't that they go bad, but that they cost money.
Peace,
Casey
I have the dewalt 16 gauge and am very happy with it.
Heaviness issue: I used it all day today and the weight never bothered me.
I like the fact that I only pay for nails .
I wish the 15 gauge was out when I bought mine as I would prefer the larger nail.
Batteries last just fine.
Much quiter than paslode.

I have a paslode and it works like a charm. I have never had it jam but I have only been using it for 2 years now. It is kinda loud but I purchased comfortable ear protection.
