who’s got one? What’s the scoop? I saw a guy that works with us has a DeWalt..18v I think.
I am tempted to make the plunge..but have no frame of reference on them.
I have a mix of cordless, so brand specific as far as batteries go, is really not a concern.
For kerfing in flashing is what I have in mind.
Any thoughts?

yes,
I would ask the guy how many feet of kerf he gets out of one charge, if it is enough to do one standard chimeny then i say go for it.

wonder if Milwaukee will be coming out with one in their 28 volt lithium ion line - seems like the right kind of power for a tool like that
Thought they were supposed to start selling that line in early March - might check their website for more info
I hope. Here is the scoop..I used the DW from my buddie's pouch, to cut off a CI vent stack , with a 1/16 cut off wheel...sweeet.He said the 5 tool kit from HomoDespot was about 600...the Grinder was 250..aloneHe nailed the rotozip, (cordless) and a circ saw, a sawzall, a F light, grinder and 2 batts for the 600.....not bad in my book...The grinder alone is 250..the sawzall another...but .That would yield 4 batts..and 2 chargers..HMMMMM?I am not a fan of DW tools, but money is tite, and my PC circ saw sux.

Sphere, I hate to think how many more bikes would have been stolen at my school if the local thieves had access to a cordless grinder. The noise might be a concern but it would sure make quick work of a bike cable or u lock.I use angle grinders on a daily basis but I don't find myself that tempted. If Panasonic made one I might get a bit more curious. I work the grinders so hard that I would eat up batteries too fast.I still think the best use would be if I wanted to cut through locked gates or steal stuff. Bolt cutters are too big and heavy and don't like hardened steel. Fortunately honest work seems to pay better that thievery.karl
haha, ive thought the same thing about those cordless grinders.. Made for stealing stuff.. thats funny______________________________________________
--> measure once / scribble several lines / spend some time figuring out wich scribble / cut the wrong line / get mad
Happy hunting - I'll send you an e-mail if I happen accross any other cordless grinders
Sphere,
When you say your PC circ. saw sucks, do you have the newer model? reason I ask is that I though the newer PC saws were pretty nice, but if yours crapped out on you that would be good to know.

I was wondering the same thing. I have both a 324 and a 325 and love em.
Justin, I have had it for about 5 yrs. It is the 19.2 volt, sorry I don't have the model # right now.The base is bent horribly just from a tumble off the saw horses, the batteries seem to lose a charge REAL quik, and the 6" blade size is not condusive to finding one at my local stores, and guard is always getting hung up on angle or bevel cuts..so much so, that I have it pinned up ( OH GOD, I KNOW).Other than that it's fine..LOLOh yeah, the case sucks too. Ya have to have the base at full cut and the dust aimer removed to close it.
