Can corian be repaired? I accidently cracked a counter top in a bath room. The corian was not supported at the sink front location, the counter is 5 feet long. Ths crack is to the left of the sink and is about 1 1/2 feet long. Help. Jim Z

If it's cracked thru, the top will have to be removed in order to repair it- a support would need to be scabbed on from underneath. By the time the top is removed and the repair made, it'd probably be cheaper to just replace the top, and it would also look better.
Probably not what you wanted to hear, but it's the truth.

Yes, it can be repaired. On a new installation a 2' seam is common.
If it broke cleanly without any big chipping that'll help.
If it's "corian" (from dupont) you may have a problem buying a small quantity of resin. They discontinued the small bags that you could buy.
You might luck out and find a dealer with some old stock on hand.
If it's another solid surface material like surell or avonite you should be able to find what you need.
See if the dealer you get the resin from has something you can read on fabricating/installations.
A little careful work, some sanding, should get you an invisible repair.
Also, what color is the top? I had a tan piece a few years ago that I repaired with gorilla glue and it came out great.
Hope this helps...Buic
its a taupy tan color. broke cleanly. I'll get a corian guy to do repairs.
