Customer switched out some cask iron vanitys, for new corian counters and undermount sinks.
Question
Existing tailpiece will not work, as cast iron had a hub on bottom and overflow was able to go up inside and tighten down. The new corian are not nearly as deep at bottom, so overflow is exposed. Is their a special tailpipe used for corian.
Can I use plumbers putty or do I have to silicone drain flange
Replies
Corian would like you to use silicon, plumbing putty might stain around the drain. Tailpipes are not special for corian.
It should have come with a plastic overflow tube that is usually siliconed onto the sink. It's a lot easier to install this before you put the sink in. My plumber hates these things but we do them all the time.
Thats what was missing, fabricator dropped it off today.
Thanks
