I just bought an 80 year old Craftsman home complete with all its original wood paneling, but it needs something – the sheen is inconsistent and the sun has done some work on the finish. I don’t want to cover it with ureythane if I should be using wax or vice versa. I don’t believe anything has been done to the wood for at least 25 years. It’s not in bad shape, I just know the luster and protection could be improved. The home is in Northern California and I believe the wood is all redwood.
