Cupola design and framing

I need to install a cupola and have no idea as to design or framing. Any
ideas?

    read a book. search the archives here- there was a FHB issue a couple years ago with a cupola on the cover. Kinda hard to tell you what you want... not so hard to tell you how to build it...

      *do you want to install one or design one... is it for observation ... or ventilation.....what is the architectural style?where do you live? if it's coastal new england..there are thousands of exampleshere's an octagonal 8 ft. wide..
