I am about to put a deck partially around an above ground pool. The pool is 24′ and I would like to run the deck boards parallel to the pool edge in a curve. From above the deck would look like a rainbow pattern.
I have a bunch of 16′ Certainteed board walk synthetic deck boards that are 5/4″. My plan would be to place these in the sun on a hot driveway and then shape them around the pool. I suspect I’ll have to use some clamps expecially as I fasten down the last part of the board.
Has anyone ever done this? I would be interested in techniques and hints.
Thanks,
Michael

This months issue of JLC has an article about bending Trex. I think he heated it to 260 degrees. And he was bending it the other direction (on the flat, not on edge as you want.) Good luck.
