So, I have a customer wanting a custom trim piece installed at a space between their custom built-ins and their fireplace. The space is approximately 6” wide by 54” tall. I suggested mdf just because of ease of use and the ability to custom fit. The customer wants a designer piece similar to what you’ll see in jambs such as the riveted stock(wavy pattern). All I’m finding are 4.5” max pieces. Any suggestions here? I’ve attached a picture of what he wants

No picture came through and I’m not familiar nor clear on what you want to use, nor what they like.
Was trying to post from my cellphone and it didn't take. I've attached the picture of the type of trim he wants. I'm familiar with this piece, just not in the size he wants

Too many flutes for me but the above might be it?
No good old style lumber yard or millwork shop around you?
Or, I had to do this before. I made a single pass jig and used a router with cove bit to reproduce for a match. I might still have the jig in the shop.....
Fluted columns are easy to make. All you need is a router and a core box bit. Here’s a pic from Fine Woodworking.

Awesome. That’s what I needed guys. Thanks for the feedback everyone.
Yup, that’s the ticket.
Glad he found the picture, my jig just might still be buried in the shop......
I know it’s there, probably behind the “one of” jigs made over the years.
My van is well organized. The shop.......semi.
