I bought a kitchen display with a corian counter. The counter is a peninsula. One side of the counter is 38 inches wide. I want to make the counter only 24 inches wide. I have never worked with corian before and I would like any advice. Thanks.

Tablesaw, power plane, router profile, sand. If you don't have a table saw you could use a straitedge and a beefy router with a 1/2" straight bit to cut it to width.

Carbide blades and bits are a must, to cut this stuff.
After you cut it to size, you will discover that you will have to build up the edge.
Go back to the kitchen center and get the epoxy to do it. Get a few kits. You'll screww it up the first time. Try to get someone to explain how to use it.
You'll need clamps, alchohol, etc.
yeah, clip the seam fill in an orbital sander paper claw ..vibrate 30 seconds..works like a charm.

If you cut some 1" slices off the large piece, you will have the strips you need to build up the edge to 1 1/2" thickness.Clean surface with alcohol. After mixing and applying the epoxy, you have to move quickly to put the strips together, and clamp it very tightly every few inches. Let the epoxy ooze out. After cure, you can scrape off the excess, and then route the edge to match the other edges. The seams will be invisible if you got a continuous tight bond. I found working with Corian to be pretty easy, it cut well and formed well with good router bits. Paul
