About a year ago, there was a great discussion about cutting crown moulding with a CMS.
I had that saved, but my hard drive has since been re-formatted. Can someone please tell me the exact angles to set my Compound Mitersaw at to lay the piece flat and what is the rule about putting inside or outside miter where?

In the May/June issue of FH there is a whole article on mitre saws and their use. The FH website had (still has?) a video tip that explains how to cut crown molding. There is also a book/video by Craig Savage on finish carpentry. I bought both and they're pretty good. Personally I'd rather drink Crown than cut it :)
I hear ya Dollar Bill
I personally would rather cope with drinking Coke than crown molding, and this is even before I give it a first-try!
Try the Delta web site.....or any other saw manufacturer for that matter. I think Delta used to have the chart on cutting on the flat. It's out there somewhere. Jeff * Jeff J. Buck/ Buck Construction/ Pittsburgh, PA *
