What is the best way to cut stucco straight and neat? I want to install a new patio door with wood moulding. The current door has stucco for trim.
Thanks, Dick.

Is it true stucco or eifis. Eifis, just use a straight edge and a sharp knife until you get to the sheathing. True stucco try a masonary blade on a circular saw. Maybe one of those dry cut carbide blades from dewalt. The backing for the true stucco should be wire mesh that will tear the stucco of the building if not thoroghly cut. I wouldn't recomned a sawsal because it vibrates too much and tends to catch the wire mesh.
*I've cut stucco with a dry cutting diamond blade in a Makita saw. Pricey blade, but it lasts long enough to be more cost effective than the composition ones.-- J.S.

*Dick: dry diamond blade is the only way to go. We have blades for a skilsaw and also a gas demolition saw. Both saws work well. We screw a straight edge on the wall when we need a cut like you describe. We have run the blade next to the straight edge (demolition saw) and some times we attach a guide to the straight edge for the skilsaw.Ron
