Please let us know where you ordered it from. I posted a thread about Dalluge's a few weeks ago and only got one reply. I would really like to find a place in Houston that has them so I can take a look before buying.

I have a Dalluge framer. I love that hammer. It feels better than any Vaughn to me. I also have a Ti Stiletto - have yet to use it. I'm still waiting until I've used up the last of my replacement handles. Which reminds me, that might be one shortcoming of my Dallluge; I'm getting awfully good at replacing handles. I average one per year.
what causes the handles to break? i'm used to using steel so i have no experience with that.

I abuse my hammer mercilessly. I beat and chip everything with both ends of it. My claws are getting kind of stubby...
The best way to break a handle is to pull a nail in the manner that seems natural. The moment lever is too large on the head/handle connection and it causes the wood to split a little at a time - then the head gets loose.
Always pull nails with a cat's claw or Dogyu, or when using the hammer, push the handle to the side, rather than pulling towards yourself.
I hope that's not too unclear.
RTC,
How to break a handle? take a big swing at something and miss landing on the handle do that repeatedly and you'll get to learn the joys of handle replacement..
Steel handle, I shudder to think.. Wood or something else is easier on your arm. let the wood absorb the impact vibration instead of you..
Ya can replace a handle but replacing your arm is a little more complicated. ..
Great tool, I use one myself and get quite a few guys asking about it. It is a balanced hammer with nice feel to it and I like the thinner axe handle better than thicker ones.
