Whoa, thanks, dude! I just pulled the trigger on this one.
My 18ga is crapping out and I was thinking of a new one. For a few bucks more, I get a compressor and a stapler. A nailer, stapler and compressor at $60 bucks per. At that price, I don't even care if they're any good -- they're disposable!
I bought a DeWalt impact driver on closeout a couple of years ago for $100. Same idea -- extra, disposable tool. That thing cranks! I grab it over my Makita every time. Still going strong.

I've had that compressor for several years now as well as the Rigid and one other.
This DW is by far my favorite.I see it at HD now with wheels on it.

Thanks. I sorta-kinda needed one anyway, so it is on the way here.
What do you think happens on deals like this?
They get a truckload and don't have floor space in the warehouse and move em out till they can fit past the pallets.
Sounds like a great little compressor. Itchy finger but I gota pass.
They're clearing inventory for newer models.

like I said...I noticed a newer version at HD that has wheels...who knows?

I don't need on stinkin wheels....
=====Zippy=====
wheels'd be OK but they're really not all that necessary. The thing ain't that heavy. Its a real good compressor. thats more of a STEAL than a deal!!
I've seen the mutimaster pretty cheap around too...probably because the new version just came out.

I got the orbital super sawzall for $99 recon, free shipping too at Amazon deal of the day.
Its a really good deal, good score.
How did you find the deal? Were you looking for other stuff and this one popped up?Btw its a neat little compressor, fairly light and well balanced to carry around. I find it not to noisy either. If heard worse than this one. One thing I don't like about it is the tank drain: Somehow Dewalt couldn't manage to put the drain on the bottom of the tank. It is a little bit upwards. When you drain it when it sits on the floor there will still be water in the bottom of it. You have to lift it up a couple of inches so it will drain completely.Martin
I found it cause I get The Deal Of The Day sent to me every day. Different deal on all kinda different things. Some junk, some good.I've had this compressor for several years now and I really like the drain in particular because its a nice big knob : )~
All my other compressors have little screw knobs...geezzz...lol.
The Ridgid I have is one of the worst but still passable.

Well, the deal of the day didn't last all day. I didn't want to buy it while I was at work, when it was $180 with free shipping. I get on tonight to buy one, and the price was $258. Oh well.
Yeh, I know.. Had that happen to me too the first time I wanted to buy something from Deal Of The Day. I actually didn't believe it cause it was so cheap (I don't even remember what the item was) and when I went back to it in the morning it was hundreds of dollars more than the day before.
I'll post something again if I see something worthy.
You didnt need it anyway...lol

Not to sound like a total idiot...but how does one sign up for the deal of the day email? I can't seem to find it.
Sign on (you need to be registered), click on "your account", under "E-mail Notifications and Subscriptions" select email subscriptions.
Thankee kindly.
OK, my unit arrived today -
I expect you to contact me when the 2" brad driver and 16 ga finish nailer combo is on sale for $29.99, w/free shipping - and it better be soon -
D
No, that was 3 weeks ago.
I got mine today.
The instructions say to break it in by letting it run for 15 minutes with the drain valve open so the air can escape.
The compressor is not loud and annoying.
Thanks again.
