Deck Built Like a 4-layer Wedding Cake
I took a few process pictures of a deck I’m working on. It is a small, 5-sided, entry landing surrounded by 3 stairs. I built the small deck frame, and then made fifteen little stackable stair boxes that bolted together around the perimeter.
This seemed easier than splayed-out stair stringers with compound miters. Total rise is only 25″.
More pics later, after I finish it. Cedar log handrails are on order (they will be bolted onto the house).
