Hello,
Our builder was supposed to apply a liquid-applied weather-resistant barrier to our garage sheathing (which will be partially conditioned space; zone 5B), but used a wood / concrete sealer instead.
I’m concerned that this sealer will prevent moisture from moving outwards and that we’ll end up with mold on the inside of the OSB.
Does anyone know if something like Olympic Waterguard is vapor permeable? Recommendations for how to proceed?
Many thanks!

Maybe the Olympic website would have some info. I bet they have an 800 number for customer questions...
Absolutely, good advice! Thank you.
I don't know how it would figure into your scheme but typically OSB has something on the outside [to the weather side] surface to repel water from the manufacturer, at least in my experience.
To close the loop - once I got the specific product from the builder, I called Olympic's tech line. They assured me that the Weather Guard sealant is vapor permeable and wouldn't be a problem on the OSB sheathing. johnb555 and oldhand, I appreciate you taking the time to offer advice.
