Okay, I thought I knew, apparently I don’t. My regular 5000 page dictionary doesn’t have it, and I don’t have a building terminology dictionary here. Can someone explain the meaning of both linear foot and running foot? The dictionary says linear measure is a measurement of length – well, that depends on who’s talking, I guess. Some people say wide and high, others say long and high, still others say long and wide, and they all mean different things to different people.
So, left to right is what I call wide. Up and down (or top to bottom) is high, and front to back is deep. Using those terms, can you explain it to me, please? Thanks so much!!!! Adrianne
