I’m from the NY metro area. Vinyl is the most common siding system used around here. Very rarely do I see anything else on the mid-line homes.
I stayed at a house in Bethany Beach, Delaware. The siding system was one I haven’t seen. It was a cementitious clapboard which is common. But the corner boards and window/door casings were vinyl. The trim looked like you install a base piece, then you install a clapboard, then a cover piece over that. I though it looked really neat and clean. And it gets away from the ugly vinyl J-bead.
Anybody familiar with this system? I’d like to get some manufacturer literature.
