I’m going to buy a 8″ jointer soon . The Delta jointers are all I’ve ever used so I know that they are great machines, but Grizzly has a 8″ jointer with spiral blades that intrigues me. The Grizzly machine has an extra 1/2 horse power and an additional cutter with reasonable price tag. My question is does anyone have any experience with grizzly products? If so please give me details, what is the service like, or have you had any problems ?

this would be a subject to go to knots with and do a search . there is an abundant info on this very subject. i have two grizzly piece's and are very pleased with them. and the price is right.
I have a couple Grizzly tools, a 24" double drum sander and a lathe, and they both serve me well. One of Grizzly's stores is right up the road from me and I've been there many times.
Like many tool companies they make several grades of tools, depending on how much you want to spend/use any particular one. So I'm sure you'll find positive and negative opinions about the Grizzly name. But if I were in the market for a jointer, I'd certainly take a look at what they offer.
They're both manufactured offshore (Taiwan). I would go for the Grizzly. And their product support is more supportive than Deltas in my experience.
Most of today's smaller stationary tools don't have the casting and machining quality of years past, so if you're after fine results, you may want to borrow some good machinists straight edges and prepare to do some lapping to true up the work surfaces.
Consider also the Woodtek from Woodworker's Supply. Great service from those guys, and both their 6 and 8-inchers have the spiral blade option.
Hey, everything is made in China nowadays. The questions are, who engineered the product, how is the quality, and how about that service.

I have the Grizzly 8" jointer and am very happy with it. The table is less than 0.0015 out end to end. The one thing I don't really like about it are the two extension wings; the new model has eliminated them (one-piece now). There are a lot of happy users of this tool on the Knots forum, including at least one in full production, runs all day mode. This seems to be one of Grizzly's best tools, and yes their customer service is good. One note - if you get it delivered (vs. dock pickup) make sure you specify a lift gate - this puppy is heavy!
