I would like some software that will do floorplans, but I wan’t a lot of ability in the area of elevations and exterior details in general.
Anyone have a recommendation? I am particularly focused on Arts & Crafts.
Thanks.

A standardized approach, quick-to-install hardware, and a simplified design make building custom casework cost-effective.

CAD is not style oriented any more than a hammer is. The hammer will drive nails in one piece of trim as well as another.
You need a CAD program capapbel of custome detailing like Softplan, Cjhief architect, or Vectorworks
IOf al you want is a 2D drafting program, Auto cad light, Turbocad, or others can work for you.
What is your long range plans? You will have a considerable time investment learningthis.

Interesting analogy. Then why do they sell framing hammers, tack hammers, claw hammers, brick hammers, etc?
But you're right ... the cad program doesn't care if you're drawing a house at $50/sf or $150/sf.

groan...the claw hammer doesn't care whether you are nailing up cheap clamshel PFJ or custom milled wide oak Greek Revival trimbetter?

Then why do they sell $5 claw hammers and $50 claw hammers? Aren't the $5 hammers for the MDF paintgrade stuff, and the $50 hammers for the high-end stain grade stuff?
I'm SO CONFUSED..............;)

Buy your wife a bottle of wine, give her a backrub, and then let her unconfuse you. Whether she puts in a CD of Gregorian chants, Hip-hop, or Tchaikovsky is the only worry you will have that way;)

Interesting analogy
True enough. I might have chosen a table saw instead of a hammer. T/S run from cnc to inverted sidweinder--the use of the saw is as much a limit as the saw itself.Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
OK< How 'bout if I swich my little parable to a truck? The truck doesn't care if it is driving up to a 60's ranch, a mcMansion, an historic restoration, or a new row of townhousees

You might try The Bungalow Company...do a google search...if you are looking for a whole house mission style they have several plan sets already drawn up.

Yeah ... use a truck for the analogy ... good choice ... do you want the classy, dependable Chevy? Or maybe the POS Ford? Or really stoop low and get a Mopar.
