I am interested to see how others have detailed the bottom of an exterior stairwell with a door into a finished basement. Anyone have a detail that provides great waterproofing at this very vulnerable spot?

Is this existing, or is this a yet to be done?
*The basement stair and door are existing. There is some leaking at the door saddle or perhaps frame. Currently there is a good, working drain and the bottom of the stair and a 6" step up to the level of the basement slab. The saddle is attached directly to the slab.I worry about flooding if the existing drain at the bottom of the stairs ever backs up. Also, I need to find the reason for the leaking at door frame/saddle.I may redo the entire
