   How much ya s'pose the 18v ion batt will cost? $100 each I'll guess. Maybe even $120?

   $120/battery?  Probably a better deal buying a new tool kit which'll probably include 2 batteris, charger, drill/driver for the same price as 2 stand-alone batts. 

   Johnbegrudgingly too deep $-wise/chordless-wise into DW to change.

   Yeah i just saw the combo pack... drill & impact for 550. that's nuts.
