I was thinking that they had an "R" branded in the plastic but that might have beeen a different company cause I don't think I have any reconditioned DW.

If it lasts 11.5 months then it's reconditioned. If it lasts the year that Dewalt usually lasts, then it's new!
It has a R stamped in it, at least my 12" slider does. As usual you are going to get the folks that hate dewalt and telling you that you have a piece of ship. I have tools made by all the major tool folks and they all make me money.
Don't know anything about the tile saw, but you still get all the warranty as new, price is reduced, and they have gone thru the tool to make sure it works.
Enjoy
I'm not BRAND loyal. I stick with what works.Sawzalls - Milwaukee (even though I picked up the PC 9750)
Drills - Panny
Hammer Drills - Hilti
Grinder - Metabo
Miter - Old Mak LS1120 and new Bosch 12" Slider
Jigsaw - Bosch *I've got my eyes on a Festool*
etcThe Tile Pros that normally use the Felker and Target machines approve of the Dewalt. I personally like the features and the pricepoint was a $teal. Less than retail, and even less than Ebay rates. I checked with another place where I get my tools and the price for the saw & stand was considered LESS that their price for just the saw itself. Only thing in question now...TBD when it arrives, is it stated as described, BNIB.
I got a reconditioned Dewalt 7" angle grinder a few years back for about the cost of a no-name chinese import. There's an "R" branded into the yellow plastic next to the trigger mechanism. Works fine, no problems at all (moderate use).
yes .. should be "branded" with a big R somewhere on it.
Most of my "big tools" are recond'd ...
so the tile saw is now available as recond'd?
what was the good deal?
I waited months for the table saw to be offered recond'd ...
was keeping an eye on the tile saw too ...
tell me more.

Nothing showing on my recon DW impact driver... looked brand new when I got it.
