We have a pretty standard five light chandelier, 5X75 watt incandescent bulbs. I installed a dimmer switch, the kind that looks like a normal single pole toggle switch, but has the little dimmer switch on the side.
Unfortunately, now the light has a noticeable hum whenever the light is dimmed. There is no hum if the power is all the way up, but less than that, it’s really pretty loud.
Any solutions for this? Different bulbs? Is a bulb loose? Newer bulbs (the ones in there are older)?

Best solutions I can find through searching the web are:
1) Replace bulbs with "rough service" bulbs which supposedly have a thicker filament that doesn't vibrate as much.
2) Replace bulbs with lower wattage bulbs
3) Don't dim the light
4) Wear earplugs
Is it a tune you can sing to?
