this is a good question, cmon folks, anyone here done this?
Not personally, but I have read a couiple of discussions about it, and some folks have had good luck with named vendors. Search.
Hi again, I didn't see the end of your comment? it says search then nothing has something been deleted or am I missing somehing?
It just seems to me this is a monster industry and it just bogs me down to get this product and it has a burdensome cost structure. Some times I just need a bandaid and not major surgery, so I really don't want to deal with the surgeon to buy a bandaid
Ok, here's a link to a very long thread about cabinets...read through it and you'll get a lot of opinions.

Thanks ELCID72 I read the first 20 and I'll get back to the rest later[after I try to do real work for a day]. I appreciate the thread, that is some of the info I was looking for. The problem on so many occasions is that by the time you spend on the hunt you could of built the or done the.

I've used this outfit
http://www.maplecraftusa.com/
They do good work and sell finished or unfinished or will finish to your specs for doors and drawers. I think they do knockdown boxes too but I build mine on site. They'll custome size.
I build more of my own totally but I can't compete with their price for basic stuff.
Excellence is its own reward!
I have use Components Plus and had very good results. It was a 64 cabinet day care project. I think their web site is: http://www.componentsplus.com. I may use Cab Parts on a medical clinic coming up. I think their web site is: http://www.cabparts.com. I try to outsource as much as possible because I seem to make the same amount of money. I really don't enjoy eating sawdust.
Thank you for the info . I understand the quest for excellence but some days we just try to get down the road, and are happy to have traveled

I have done this once, the company I used was IXL cabinets. They are owned by Armstrong cabinets the website is: http://www.ixlcabinets.com
I had no problems with them other than not being able to actually see one of their products until my order arrived. The cost savings was worth it. I estimated I saved about $3,000 on a $6,000 order over going through a local retailer. I would only do this if I were installing lower-end cabinets. I don't think you can get a good cabinet from any large company. For really high-end stuff I would go through a local specialty cabinet shop.
Hi Mark Thanks for the info. I checked them out and it looked like they had a good deal of product. The initial problem I had with them was the location. I'm in Salt Lake City Utah and the nearest location was Phoenix Az. Any way I found a local shop that does what ever you need for pretty reasonable $. So I went that way.
I had a good supplier before but he changed business ,so I had put off dealing with the shortfall untill it hit me in the head. So now I'm up and running in the cabinet supply mode.
Again Thank you for the info and the reply.
