I’ve rebuilt an interior set of wooden stairs. For some reason the stairs seem to really amplify the sound of walking on them (the stairs are very tight and well made, so I think the whole stair system is acting as an amplifier).
I’d like to first spray on foam insulation under the stair treads and stringers to deaden the sound transmission, insulate heavily and then double rock with fire-rated sheetrock.
I can’t find a DIY product for spray-on foam insulation (not the window/door/crack stuff you can buy anywhere, but stuff you’d spray on from +/- 12″ away for wide coverage).
I only have about 30 sq. feet I need to cover, so calling in a pro company wouldn’t be cost effective.
Is there an actual spray on foam product out there for small DIY projects?

google tigerfoam, fomofoam, or froth pak
Thanks! The Froth Pak looks like it will work great.
In case this is the only task you have for this foam system, the Hilti gun I got for doing spot foam tasks has been a REALLY great tool. It layes down a bead fron 1/8" thick to 1.5". As the foam canister is reusable - unlike the cans - it can be really handy for other uses around the house besides this one.
