Recently had to pull down a substantial hunk of my kitchen ceiling to address some plumbing issues to which my house is prone. Now I have the hole filled with drywall, furred out to be level with the existing plaster. Do I just tape and use drywall compound to blend the drywall with the existing plaster ceiling? Do I need to sand the paint off the plaster first? Additives to the compound?
Tips are what I’m after. Thanks a heap.
