I’m an accomplished furniture maker in the process of helping to build my new house. I’ll handle cabinets, floors, trim and doors.
I’m seeking inspiration for the doors. I have a really cool book in my office entitled ‘1000 Chairs’, which has – go figure – photos of a thousand chairs. Does anyone out there know if the equivalent exsists for doors and what it may be called?
Thanks for the help

not exactly a title, but go see a place that carries several lines. Each catalog will have pictures in multiple finishes of several varieties. Granted, if you're yearning for the unusual, that might not get you too far. But just pictures, heck, they're free for the asking.

A number of times in the past, 5?, 10? 15? years ago FHB had their center section on different doors photos, some really exceptional doors, I'm sure someone here can tell you which issues.
Have gotten ideas in the past from looking thru a photo alblum/web sites of Pompei excavations and doors found there, also impressed by Parthenon doors, doors in Edinburgh castle, etc.
Fold in your own 'druthers.
Attachment is own effort on the cheap (all old pallets for the door & garage sale glass pieces)
On own house, due to time pressures, found that it was best to put in cheap temporary doors when building and till after the tax assessor comes by the first time, then take your time on the doors important to you and replace later. Door in attachment was finally built 6+ years after moving in and replaced a plain 36" solid core luan skin door that sufficed in the interim.
Junkhound, don't know what you get out of that door, but it brought a big grin to my face. Great to see some colour in an often too-bland world.
