I’ve installed raft faced insulation and thought that was enough for my vapor barrier when a buddy told me to also cover with plastic sheeting.
So I thought it couldn’t hurt, might even help, right? Well when I was having my new roof installed the woofer saw what I was doing and advised me to take the plastic off, his reason was that the doubled barrier would cause condensation between the barriers! This makes no sense to me at all.
Why would a doubled barrier condensate any more than raft faced against dry wall? Please help me?
