Am going to bite the bullet & rip up my Schmidt for a floor that a sub installed for me. Glued down engineered wood on a slab at grade. No problems w/ moisture. Big areas where glue didn’t adhere well; joints you can stand a Quarter in. Generally shabby work.
Plan to rip it up, put down Dri-Core, followed by pre-finished real hardwood. Real challenge is the glue joint – Bostick’s Best Urethane, that apparently just doesn’t give it up. That’s OK – I have lots of patience.
Bought my Dri Core at Big Orange last week at a considerable discount because they are apparently discontinuing it. Been to their web site to read how they recommend installing it. Any experience out there on this product? Especially w/ real wood, as opposed to the engineered variety.
Have lotsa time before the project even starts. Kitchen has to be have loose ends cleared up firstBe a matter of months at the rate I work.

I put dri-core down with carpet over. It has only ben a few months, no problems. I was planning on varnishing the panels and putting down a throw rug. I did call the service number up in Longlac Ontario and got a call back in an hour or so. They were very informative and helpful with their advice. Then my plans changed or DW changed the plans. Give the plant in Longlac a call.
