As everyone wishes to do, I would like to minimize the roof penetrations and would like to have my electric dryer share the same vent stack as the cooktop. I know that Gas dryer is no no, but wasn’t sure if this would be as well. I know I can vent indoors, but I would like to minimize the heat that is returned into the house in summertime.
Yes, No, Gotta go…..

NO!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
So what are you saying?

NO - and to vent a dryer indoors is not a good idea either. Is there no gable end anywhere near that these appliances could be vented out?
Well, I know a Gas dryer is a huge nono, but thought that it wasn't awful for an electric to vent inside. I might be able to take it through an exterior wall, but not sure yet. Also trying to minimize the jumble of pipes in the smallish utility room. But I appreciate everyones input. I can always count on getting an answer from this crowd. Sometimes 4 of them.
In general terms, it is not accaptable to mix venting systems. Gas vents for gas appliances, only Water vapor vents for only water vapor, ie bath & fart fans. Wood burners only for wood burners....no other fuels. Ditto for all other fuels. Plumbing vents for only plumbing, Attic vents for attic heat only. ETC., Etc...ETC

Sure wouldn't want my eggs and bacon to have an "essence of Downy" flavor. I'm not sure my lover would know what to think if my undies smalled like bacon & eggs! Or Sauted onions and garlic!
What IMERC is telling you is:
The exhaust from the cooktop will contain grease that condenses on cooler surfaces. The exhaust from the dryer will contain lint and dust that will stick to the grease, thus building up and eventually sliding back down and dropping the moldy mess back into your prized chili recipe. Maybe without you noticing it.
Just when you invite him over for poker.
Sounds yummy everyone. I guess I have my answer. I'll work on venting it through the exterior wall.
Is this a new home or a remodel?
Conversion of a garage into a home, so for all intents and purposes, new construction from the inside.
Ask your insurance carrier.
"My, you smell nice today, what's that scent?"
"Bacon grease"
it's the greasy lint burning....
