Drywall delivery into second floor by cutting the wall out
Hi guys,
I bought a spec home recently. The house will be in drywall stage soon. But I found they cut the wall out on the second floor. The home sale manager told me that cutting the wall out is for drywall delivery and it’s quite normal to do that. Seriously? Why don’t they deliver through stairs inside house? Or window? The manager said the space is not big enough. Did you have similar situations like me. I really appreciate your comments.

They deliver it with a Pettibone or a similar all terrain fork lift.
When I used to do additions, it was pretty common for us to leave some studs out, usually where a window will be, so the sheetrock can be boomed in. Getting the rock that way can save hours of labor over carrying it all up the stairs.
