I have a den with old style paneling nailed right the wall studs (insulated) and would like to cover it with drywall….would it be OK to drywall right over the paneling or should I remove it first?

Only problem would be extending the outlets, and the lost margin at the base and door trim.

SJ: This sounds good to me. I sometimes do it this way myself. And like the last thread, just have to extend the electrical. You can find these brackets at any big box. Have fun. Regards. Dale Buchanan
