I am in the middle of a difference of opintion between by builder and sheetrock finisher. Having specified a flush junction where drywall meets wooden window jambs, the installation crew installed metal J-bead. The finisher insists that L-bead is the appropriate bead for this application, and is advocating replacing the J-bead with L-bead. The builder contends the in-place J-bead can be mudded over and feathered to the desired flush (no window casing) treatment. As homeowner, who do I believe? And why?
