Hello,
We have a septic system and very low output well. We want to save water. I’ve heard that there may be some concern with dual flush not having enough ‘umph’ to get the business down to the septic tank.
Hum, oh well – we do have on family member that usually needs to pull out the ole’ plunger due to a big load – which is also a concern with a low flow toilet.
Thanks in advance if you respond.

Sounds as if you gotta look at a bigger water storage tank.
And massive movements (at least in my case) rarely are the cause for plugs (of the toilet). The use of excessive paper seems to be the culprit. Especially that Megaroll stuff with 3 to 5 layers of paper. Use the stuff with no more than 2 layers.
Getting the grease out of the diet also helps. Means less paper is used.
Yea, have another 1000 gallon tank I plan to hook up, but all the same, still want to go with low flow toilet (and go to a front load washer)Thanks for the tip on the paper - I bet that's it.
Big load = 2 flushes necessary, one for the "load" before the paper, the one for the paper itself.
