A little shed roof structure over an exterior door. Take a look.
I see the bracket, supporting what might be a 4×6, which in turn is supporting rafters, probably 2x4s on 16 centers, which then pick up exposed board sheathing. The board sheathing runs perpendicular to the rafters, of course, paralleling the beam.
But what, other than the deep rake rafter at the ends, is stabilizing the bracket?
And, what is used to fix the upper end of the whole thing, along its length, against the wall?

Bracket support leg for the 4 x 6 is blind screwed from behind (no, not Piffen screws)through the vertical bracket piece. Put up as a unit.
Upper ledger is likely nailed to the wall, 4 x 6 beam set in place. Rafters with birdsmouths tie wall ledger, 4 x 6 beam into a rigid unit. Upper birdsmouth on the bracket arm locks the 4 x 6 into place.
It looks like lateral support for the bracket is transferred from the wall connection to the sheathing and then to the purlin so the brackets only have to hold the roof up.
Lotta those around here. The bracket, the wall plate, the radfter above it form a triangle that is stable. The wall plate is lagged to a 4x stud in behind
