Who makes the circular saw with the clear plastic guard/dust collector. I have seen it but I can't find it!

I believe the saw you are looking for is a Makita model 5057KB, 7-1/4". It is supposed to be engineered to cut fiber cement materials, i.e., Hardiplank. There is an ad for the saw in Fine Homebuilding, Jan. 2000, page 67. Also, Porter Cable has a model 743K which can be fitted with a dust bag and I would guess could be hooked to a vac.
